The KX-NS520 expansion unit is designed to increase the number of free slots for the KX-NS500 PBX . The maximum number of KX-NS520 expansion units in the system is 3. To connect the first and subsequent expansion units to the KX-NS500 base unit, one KX-NS5130 card must be installed.

Each expansion unit contains an EXP-S card for connecting to the main unit (built-in by default). To use the expansion unit, you must connect it to the main unit with a "straight" RJ-45 patch cord. The length of the patch cord should not exceed 3 m.

The expansion unit contains a pre-installed KX-NS5174 board (16 analog internal ports with Caller ID function and a message waiting indicator). The KX-NS520 has 4 slots for installing optional expansion cards.
